  • What happens if there is bad weather?

    We understand that despite the average 249 days of sun that Tahoe receives, bad weather does happen. With that being said, we’re happy to set up your picnic rain or shine. If conditions are categorized as unsafe, please try and reschedule your picnic for a different date. If you are unable to reschedule your picnic, please refer to our refund policy 👉🏽

  • What is your refund policy?

    Full payment for standard picnic packages is required in order to reserve your picnic.

    Refunds for parties 6 or less:
    Full refunds are only available for parties 6 and under if the existing reservation is canceled within 7 days prior to the picnic date.

    Refunds for parties 6 or more:
    For parties 6 and over, a 30-day notice is required prior to your picnic date for a full refund. You will receive a 50% refund if your picnic is canceled 7 days prior to your reservation. Any reservations canceled 7 days or less will NOT receive a refund.

  • Can I bring my own food and drink?

    What’s a picnic without food and drinks? The short answer is yes, you may provide your own food and drink. We are also happy to recommend local hot spots and deliver to your picnic. Less work, more fun! When it comes to public beaches, there are rules regarding containers and items allowed. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding what is already included in your picnic package.

  • Can we substitute items in our package?

    All picnic packages are as is. The only acceptable substitutions involve swapping out the complimentary champagne with non-alcoholic beverages or accommodating to guests who have dietary restrictions and or allergies. Please let us know in the comments section when booking your picnic.

  • Can I bring my pet?

    We love our pets! For the Adventure Backpack, you can absolutely bring a pet. For the other offered picnics, we kindly ask that you leave your furry friends at home. We’d like to keep our equipment clean and maintain a great experience for all.

  • How can we contact you if there is an emergency?

    If you or your guests need to leave the picnic early, we understand. We ask that you never abandon the picnic without notifying a TEP team member. If you have an emergency, immediately please contact the team member who reached out for your day of reminder message.

  • Can I add more time during my picnic?

    We love keeping the party going and we’ll do our best to accommodate. Sometimes there’s no issue extending your picnic reservation but other times, we may have another picnic that requires our attention. To inquire if there’s leeway into extending your experience, please use the provided TEP contact and request more time 30 mins prior to the end of your picnic. Should we be able to accommodate a time extension, we will charge the $50 per hour add-on to the credit card on file.

  • What if I accidentally break or spill something?

    Accidents happen. We understand that sometimes things break, spill or get lost. We ask that you immediately let your TEP team member know via text that something has spilled or has been damaged. Some items may require guests to pay a cleaning fee or a replacement fee. Please don’t hide any damaged equipment from us! The sooner we’re aware of the damaged items, the quicker we can repair or clean the items appropriately.

  • Do I need to clean up my trash?

    If your party has items such as wrappers, bottles or other trash, we will provide you with a small trash bag. We ask that you never litter! We like to keep Tahoe Blue and ask that you always keep that in mind. At the end of the picnic, a TEP team member will clean up your entire picnic. Please do not dump picnic remains in the water, sand, etc. Please do not attempt to clean any items/equipment provided for your picnic. Leave that to us please!

  • Something was stolen while we were at our picnic.

    Tahoe Elevated Picnics is NOT responsible for your personal belongings during the picnic. Please do not leave your belongings unattended. All guests must stay with the provided picnic setup until the end of your reservation time.  If you need to leave your picnic for any reason, please contact us prior to your departure.  Any stolen items will be your responsibility!
